Zoe Mitchell is an American screenwriter and producer. She wrote, produced, and directed her debut dramatic short film, BERNADETTE (2020), which received the Spirit Award from MINT Film Festival as well as Best Editing from the Cinémathèque Française in Paris, France.
Under Scattamooch Productions, her feature length film, GRASSLAND (2024), is now streaming on Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, Tubi, Roku, and more. She is co-writer and executive producer on another Scattamooch Productions film, PAPER PLANE, that will have its national premier at the Santa Fe Film Festival this year.
Her productions have won and been recognized by organizations such as Austin Film Festival, Manhattan Film Festival, WeScreenplay, Web Series Festival Global, Lift-Off Global Network, and Indie Short Fest.
Mitchell was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated in 2016 from Berklee College of Music. She was also a masters in screenwriting candidate at EICAR Film and Television school in Paris, France in 2018. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California where she continues to hone her craft and watch endless British TV.
Influences include: Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Michaela Coel, Donald Glover, Billy Wilder, David Sedaris, and JD Salinger.
